BACA Barbados is dedicated to minimizing the impact of cancer on the Barbados population and committed to the establishment of a residential HOSPICE in Barbados. Our activities are largely conducted by volunteers and are supported through charitable donations.

Areas of focus include

• community education aimed at increasing awareness of lifestyle factors that influence the development of cancer, the promotion of timely screening, early detection, and prompt treatment.
• continuing education in hospice and palliative care for care providers.
• support of research activities aimed at identifying barriers to cancer care in Barbados.

In 2024, our primary focus is to work towards establishing the first residential hospice in Barbados.
